Medicines Information & Clinical Pharmacy Special Interest Group (MICP SIG) Antimicrobial Symposium

Registration opens on 1 April!  Spaces may fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early to secure your spot.


When: 24 - 25 May 2025 (Registration opens at 8am, Saturday 24 May and concluding at 1:45pm on Sunday 25 May.

Where: School of Pharmacy, Grafton Campus, Auckland University

A full day covering:

  • Principles of Infectious Diseases
  • Microbiology basics
  • PK/PD of antimicrobials
  • Medicine Information Session
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Urinary Tract Infections


The MICP SIG Annual General Meeting will be held in the afternoon, followed by drinks and nibbles.

  • Penicillin allergy
  • Respiratory Infections
  • National Antibiotic guidline update
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship in daily practice
  • Medicine Information Session


Registration costs:


NZHPA member who is a Technician / Student / Intern Registration $140


NZHPA member who is also member of MICP SIG Registration $180


NZHPA member who is NOT also member of MICP SIG Registration $200


Non NZHPA member Registration $250

NZHPA REFUND POLICY


For NZHPA SIG events (Symposia) the following refund policy applies:


If someone has registered for an event, but for unforeseen circumstances is no longer able to attend, they can contact the NZHPA Administrator nzhpa@nzhpa.org.nz to request a refund.

  • If the request is made more than 7 days before the event, 75% of cost of event ticket will be refunded.
  • If the request is made within 7 days of the event 25% of cost of event ticket will be refunded.
